My nephew saw a few hats that I had made for my girls and is now BEGGING his mom for a hat. She's not a crafter, so she told him he'd have to ask Aunt Rachel. It was an automatic "GIMME DA FONEEEE!"  Grin I love that kid.

Anyway, I'm ofcourse going to make him the hat. I can't say no. However, I have NO idea where to start with this. Could anyone steer me in the right direction? A pattern of some sort to the type of hat?

Thanks!

Did you try a ravelry search?

Not sure if any that show up are what you're looking for. A hat with Mario on it or a hat like the one he wears?

Heres a free pattern for a knit hat with mario on it.  Super cute, looks like the original mario.  Below the picture of the hat is a link to the free pattern:

Assuming you want a hat in the style that Mario wears, I'd suggest looking at Topi. In the more profile shots of Mario that seems to be the shape of his hat.

Also try searching for "engineer's cap" and see what turns up.

Thanks everyone. That Mario pattern hat is SUPER cute. I might end up making it just to make it lol.

I did end up making a beanie with a Mario logo on it, though.
