Flower Power

Okay.. so there isn't a whole lot of power going on here since it's just one flower lol... but here's my attempt at embroidering a flower. This will later be put on an apron that I am going to make for my grandma for Christmas.  I still have a little over a month to go. phew!

It has almost a stained glass effect with that outline, I really like it!

aww... thank you all for the compliments. I remember my aunts trying to teach me how to embroider as a kid... it wasn't pretty. Glad this one came out and is now on an apron ( i used a blanket stitch to put it on... that didn't look too pretty)... and am now awaiting to give it to my grandma for christmas. I'm excited to see her face

p.s. these compliments have inspired me to give embroidery another chance in my life hehe

You should totally give embroidery another chance! I love the satin stitch (which I suck at) and like experiment said, the stained glass effect is really nice. Did you photograph the apron to post? I'm curious!
