So, given how sick I was at the beginning of my pregnancy (not to mention the fact I was in the middle of writing my comprehensive exams) I didn't get to do any sort of crafty pregnancy announcement.  I wanted to rectify that when we shared the gender of our baby with my family.  Needless to say time and sickness were still problems but my husband and I were able to come up with something that seemed to work (if nothing else my Mom and Sister loved them).

When we were out stocking stuffer shopping my husband saw gingerbread boy/girl cookie cutters and was struck with inspiration.  I then made tags using MS Word and a picture of the stuffed piggy we had already bought for the baby.  They were very simply and easy to make, and my Mom was so excited she hung hers on the tree.

All in all they worked well, except for my anxiety level as I waited for them to be opened (I wanted my Mom to get hers first, and I was getting very tense until she found it in her stocking).

This is very neat.  So sorry to hear how sick you were in the beginning, but it's awesome that you felt up to doing these later on.  Just wanted to tell you I loved your choice to write "She's a girl" instead of using "it's."  So much more personal and meaningful.  I truly love it. =^..^= ~

Thanks abby w.  We were very particular about using she's instead of it's.
