I used Troublet's tutorial from her blog to make the ornaments. The girl one is here: http://thetroublewithcrafting.blogspot.com/2011/09/stashbustin-ornaments-pt-1-gingerbread.html    and if you look around you can find the boy one. They boy one also has the pattern and tut for a baby gingerbread.

Awesome!  Thanks for sharing! Grin

The gingerbread ornaments are so cute!  I am in love with the VW and Camera ornaments though, I NEED to make that camera ornament for my brother.  Was there a pattern used??

Great start to the gallery already and it's only been the first day!

No, I didn't use a pattern.  I have to admit that I saw a similar ornament on etsy and borrowed the idea.  I just cut a black rectangle for the camera body and then cut the top and bottom strips out of light grey and stitched them on.  I made the lens and housing by cutting a square of dark grey and trimming the top corners.  I then cut out two circles that seemed about the right size and sewed them on to the square.  Then I sewed everything together and backed it with another piece of black felt.  Since pretty much all the shapes are just circles and squares it was pretty easy to just wing it.  You should make one...it really was pretty simple.

Calsters, I know you mentioned you loved to bake, so I tried to do a baking theme with some of your days.  Glad you like the cookbooks, I thought they looked yummy too. Smiley

Squee!  I can't wait to open the rest of the gifts!!!  I love everything!

SOOO SOOO SORRY for the picture posting tardiness!! I had to go on an unexpected long roadtrip to AZ with my Grandmother to visit my very pregnant sister (everyone in my world seems to be having babies! don't drink the socal water Wink) only to return home to have not gotten the job i interviewed for last week. Ups and downs may kill me. Going on about 17 months of job hunting to no avail. Anyone want to give me a job? Wink

Moving on - So I wasn't home for a handful of days, but here are the rest of my AMAZING gifts from Quaggy! She was the best!! I loved everything she sent me. She is truly an amazing artist as well, and I know that

A book binding kit!! How outrageously amazing is this??? I cannot wait to try it! This is also something my nephews and niece and I will be putting into good use for next christmas! (there will be four little people under 4 who will all get to make awesome christmas stuff with auntie - i have a year to perfect my bookbinding skills Wink)
This was a :O and "holy cow" when I opened it! AMAZING!!

A MATCHING THREAD CATCHER!!! How lovely is this? This is the second most useful gift i have rec'd in years!

These are the goodies that came in the most USEFUL present I have gotten in years! A coffee cup caddy. This will be living on my sewing table and may I never go hunting for a pen, seam ripper or snips again!

And the Colors are fantastic!!

A magic yarn ball!

I love these and have never gotten one! So exciting!

Beautifully hand painted snowman spoon ornaments

this guy is my fave Smiley

One of these guys may need to have a home with my nephew. He LOVED looking at them and the fact that they were spoons made him giggle (he's two). We may have to try something along these lines (painting on flatware) for our christmas craft projects next year because he loved them so much! I am thinking some reindeer.

So I LOVE LOVE LOVE to bake - and look what day seven brought - baking goodness!! including a little cupcake recipe book, which I cannot wait to try!

Now this next one is where I was FLOORED!! This is a ceramic santa. Hand painted AND HAND CAST!! SHE CASTED THIS GUY!! Then painted him up beautifully!! I was FLOORED when I saw him, then when I read that she actually MADE him, not just painted, I was even more amazed. Look how pretty he is! (All the pictures I got of his back were blurry and made the colors look off, so sorry there isn't a rear pic)

This is a beautiful christmas tree. The fabric and the buttons - Its amazing!

Look at this super cute Santa Stuffie Cheesy

The cutest kitchen towel!! I love it!

A Mug Rug! I think I like the idea quaggy gave as using it as a trivet!!

WOWSERS!! A bunch of Cards, tags and A WAX SEAL KIT!! I have wanted a wax sealer for so long!!!! And quaggy put it all in a very cute santa mailbox!!

Some of the cards

some of the tags

The wax seal kit

Holy smokes! Today was a FANTASTIC day - I got my degree in the mail, I got called for an interview for a job AND my boxes arrived for this swap from quaggy! HOLY SMOKES! These boxes are HUGE!!!! (my shoe is there for scale!)

i opened the top box and wow!

I stacked them all in my closet so I am not tempted Cheesy

well almost all - check out this huge one!

Gosh - if I post this many pics when I just have packages, when I open them I may be really irritating Smiley
