Some of you may know the yarn "Sashay" from Coats/Red Heart. It is actually a mesh you can stretch out, and by knitting along one edge you can make a ruffly scarf. I tried it recently (just grabbed a ball at a craft store out of curiosity) and I had fun with it, and now I want to get more! Problem is, it's acrylic (I'd love a version in a natural fibre or blend), and also seems to be sold out everywhere. Do any other brands make something similar? The only one I've found is by Rowan, but it's so atrociously expensive at the yarn shop near me I couldn't consider it. Just wondering if craftsters had any other suggestions.

Bernat and Lion have one, maybe Patons, check out their websites. And they're acrylic.

Well Berroco Lacey might do, but it's 60% acrylic, 15% nylon, and only 25% wool. I suspect that you aren't going to find a 100% natural fiber in a novelty yarn like this.

Try Katia yarns. Triana and Tul are very similar, knit in the same way. If they're not at your yarn shop, try ebay, I found a ton of them on there.
