Now that I have come up for air, I can finally check out the gallery! And, there's lots of Ugly Sweater awesomeness to look at! I'm actually glad that I didn't look first because I would have only added to my stress by trying to top some of the fabulousness

KeenBean- I love those little presents on your sweater! I'll have to look for some similar fabric to see if I can re-create that look. Just stunning! The fabric used for the tree on the back is also perfection.

RhymeswOrange- I think that fur trimming just makes that sweater. And, the marvelous placement of the Santa hats is most spectacular!

MaryColleen- I love everything about your sweater! The turkey, the stripes on the sleeves, the trim around the neckline and the Grinch fur-trimmed sleeves. Fantastic! The addition of the turkey bacon to your package is an extra special bonus (and an idea I'm totally stealing ).

I received my sweater from myklia just before Thanksgiving, but wouldn't allow myself to open it until I got her package sent. I have to add the extras and then try to find my tripod- I hate pictures of myself, so I haven't looked too hard I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow night or Tuesday.

We got our letters at school announcing the 2nd annual Ugly Sweater Contest. I didn't participate last year, but this year, I am most definitely taking part!

I finally had my picture taken in the great Nightmarish- Xmas-sweater that RhymeswOrange made for me! Yay!

And the best part is: it lights up!  I have been struggeling a lot not to wear it every day, I love it so much.

She was super sweet and sent great extras like the wonderful Santa hat, candy canes, feather-wristbands and Xmas hairbands that I will wear as soon as I find my favourite long wig AND there was a "sooper dooper reindeer pooper"! How cool is that? American silliness is simply the best and I will defend him with my life

The gaudier the better...love the ornaments you did craftaddchick..actu ally, this might be bad, but I would wear that out to an office party!

aww...I also love the Nightmare sweater!  The whole outfit looks so cute---you look like you could be a Santa's helper!

I am still laughing over the sweater to rhymeswithorange... it is hilarious!  You could poke and eye out...

That nightmare sweater is fantastic! How did you get it to light up? I have a battery operated set of mini lights, but I couldn't figure out how to attach it to the sweater so it didn't make the sweater hang funny...

And, I promise I'll be taking a picture of my sweater soon! I don't know how my schedule gets so full, I swear I don't!

I didn't realize I hadn't commented yet, but I LOVE the nightmare sweater and you look so cute in it.

craftADDchick-  I considered a number of different lighting options but as you say they were all pretty heavy in the battery area.  In the end, I used one of the light up necklaces and stitched over the cord near the lights.  I tucked the necklace connector, where the battery was, behind the christmas tree inside.  The whole thing was pretty light so it doesn't drag the sweater down much, especially with the felt tree to help stabilize it.
