I made these a while ago and never posted them here, oops.

Over the summer I made mini books out of all the Harry Potter books and made them into earrings.  It was a long process, but I was so proud of the way they turned out. Smiley Everything about the books was done from scratch. I printed out the covers, laminated them, and then cut many pages of paper to the same size. I folded the paper and smothered it in mod podge. I left it to dry overnight underneath a heavy object to stay closed. Also, the book size changes depending on the thickness of the actual book. Yes, I pay that much attention to detail. Smiley

Here are some pictures.

I also made a bracelet:

these are totally awesome!  do you like working with the shrink plastic?  cuz i haven't used it since i was seven or so, and it's people like you who are inspiring me to get back into it.

i think my fave is the newspaper one.

I didn't use shrink plastic.  I printed out the mini book cover, glued it onto cardstock paper to make it a little thicker and then "laminated" it with a roll of clear laminate. For earlier ones I used clear packing tape to laminate cuz I misplaced my roll of laminate.

Genius. I guess I wouldnt be patient enough to deal with that many individual pages, but Im really tempted to get back to making miniature books now!
