Okay, so I really did not get much feedback about my skirt 2 halter top a few days ago of which I was quite pleased with the result..Not spectacular but cute at any rate. Smiley

So how about this crappy excuse for a jeans 2 jean skirt DIY?? I was NOT Angry pleased with how this came out because the panel on the one side is wider than the other and the panel in the front is a little off center (I was trying to get rid of the crotch part)..

Since I spent so much time sewing this (by hand I might add) I thought the least I could do is let other people see it before I throw this out in the garbage.. Wink

I am working on a new jeans 2 jean skirt that hopefully will turn out better than this one! Smiley

First off, that halter is really cute!

For your next skirt, check out the following very helpful tutorials.

not martha's diy skirt
skirt from huge pants

I found both of these very helpful when I remade a pair of pants into a skirt recently.

Good luck!

You're very welcome!  I found the susank tutorial most helpful because it helped me to get a straight front and back seam instead of having the crotch flap overlap.

very impressed with your handsewing patience, cherigirl! such a shame it didn't turn out how you wanted, but cruise the boards for loads of ideas on how to reconstuct it further (if your nimble hands will let you!) as you've got lots of material and talent there that it would be a shame to waste!
