printing on every surface I can find

At the end of october I took part in an exhibition @ the studio where I go screen printing. The place is a year old and it was a great mixture of everyone's work which was really diverse. The piece that i made was a silk jacket with an apple core repeat pattern printed with water based ink. I'd made a photo stencil screen after drawing the repeat pattern out on to acetate with posca pens, they're great as they're opaque paint pens and aren't that expensive!

so I thought id post my jacket for you guys to see, im really proud of it and Id love to hear what you guys think Smiley

im really glad i have a good friend to take promo shots!!

these are the screens i used, one for the red and the other for the black line work. you can also see the acetate i used to expose the image

I have no idea how screen printing works, but the print and jacket look very nice!  Smiley

I literally just got home from school working on a screen printing project that is just like that - photo emulsion screens layered and repeat pattern so I say hat's off to you! Registration is a b*itch and yours looks damn good.  Smiley

it is indeed! i have a pile of misprint testers too. its one of those processes that you need to take your time and prep everything to the n'th but very satisfying when it comes together Smiley

i'm limited to 2 colour prints atm but im trying to save up and get another screen - ooh endless possibilities

you'll have to post up what you make - would love to see

Ooh another screen means even more room for registration errors  Shocked Cheesy I had a ton of issues since my images weren't 100% square in the screen so the Tbar I was using for registration was barely any help at all..but overall it looks pretty good I think. Here's the link to my project  Smiley
