Sign-ups are open through Dec. 3, 2011! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=395567.0

Would anyone be interested in a board game swap? Items could be themed around a certain board game (monopoly money notebook, scrabble tile pillows) and/or used as a jumping off point (Star Wars chess sets, favorite colors twister).

Here's a partial list of board games in case you're drawing a blank thinking of different ones like I just did:
Backgammon
Battleship
Candy Land
Checkers
Chess
Chinese Checkers
Chutes and Ladders
Clue
Connect 4 (wow. Lots of C name games)
Guess Who?
Life
Monopoly
Risk
Scrabble
Sorry!
Trivial Pursuit
Twister

I'd for sure be in for this! I've always wanted to make an alternate version of a board game, like Life or Monopoly, so this would give me an excuse to do that! (assuming whomever I end up being partnered with likes that kind of thing)

YAY! I'm glad there's interest. What size swap should this be? When should we do it?

How does 4 points sound to you? Too big? Too small? Just right?

What about send-outs sometime in January or early-ish February? But that would make sign-ups right around Christmas. How about sign-ups soon, crafting over December and send outs in early January? Board games and winter kinda go together for me. But I'm open to what you guys think  Smiley

I would be in, but I couldn't do the crafting-through-Dec, send-in-Jan timetable - work in retail means that when I have free time in December (and the idea of that is a joke, really), I'll be sleeping.

However, I'm more than willing to sit it out if everyone else likes the early timetable more.

Yup, yup, yup  Smiley Or, if you think your partner would like it, you could make them a board game from scratch! Either using existing rules and making the board, cards, pieces, etc. or coming up with a new one.

Okay, so I'm not hearing a whole lot of "NOOO!!! I can't do it now and I can't miss this swap!" so I'll get to work on the questionnaire. It's not too late to chime in on preferences (timeline or size or whatever) though!
