Any thoughts on the best (i.e. cheap but safe) way to send a ball ornament. . . that may be breakable? (Though I'm in Canada, so US-only mail solutions wouldn't work for me).

You can't send a ball ornament cheap from Canada!  I just mailed one and I packed it in a small box and it still cost me over $7.00 (it was going to Norway) but I got the postal worker to figure out the price to the US and it would have been around $5.75.

Would personalized ornaments be allowed, like in the regular SSS when people do customized offerings? I was thinking of maybe offering a felt photo ornament like these:



I made a set of these for my family last year and they seemed to go over well. They are made of felt, with the photo printed on printable fabric (not iron on, the nice kind!) So, whoever got me would just need to email a portrait photo.

Keeping my eye on this as well while I make up my mind.

i always make a little something special for all the work people and this could fit in with the assembly line of that.  If whatever i decide to make for them works for this as well.

Ooh, yeah, that's along the lines of what I was thinking. Hm . .  well one of my three ideas is flat. I'll have to ponder. . .

I will be offering Playful Penguin and Festive Owl Ornaments. The penguin body is made out of a jingle bell and there is another jingle bell on his hat. I still need to add a hanger to the owl.

I wanna play in this round! I've started on some ornaments already, but I'm going to wait until I have them all done before I send in my questionnaire as I am still debating on making 5 or 10 ornaments I really like all the ones that have been posted so far! And the jingle bell penguin is too cute ^_^
