Hey guys!
So, this was my very first attempt at making a dress from scratch. No pattern, no dressmaker's dummy, nothing. Just some good, old-fashioned measuring and trying it on until I got it to fit correctly, haha.
I made the dress from fabric purchased at Joanne's--it's black with cherries all over it, if you can't tell from the photos. It's a halter with a sweetheart neckline and zips up the back (sorry, I didn't get any photos of the back :/).
The shoes were $10 (on sale) at Payless, and everything else (makeup, earrings, slip, crinoline, hair accessories, and belt) I already had. Overall, it cost around $25, and it's a dress (and shoes!) that I would wear again.

By the way, victory rolls are SUPER difficult to do!
(and the photos don't do them any justice--they actually looked pretty darn good, if I do say so myself

)
Pics!

I honestly don't expect to win the contest (there are so many amazing entries!!), but I wanted to share anyhow, 'cause I'm proud of my first dress.
