I thought I posted in this thread...hmmm no wonder I am not getting any updates!  My partner wants mostly crafty supplies but we discussed a few small crafted items.  Not sure what I am going to do in regards to the bag since my sewing skills are minimal....

I'm thinking I may have to do that myself.  I was just reminded of my "awesome" sewing skills the other day while making something else.  that is sarcasm by the way.    we'll see how it goes though.

Going well! So far have collected some lollies and supplies and made a start on the crafted items, i havent made the bags.. i haven't decided how yet!

my crochet skills are also non-existent, I can sew a bit, but I think decorating a pre-made bag is still safer for me.

I can't knit or crochet (and I've taken classes) but it just didn't seem to take.  And I was always nervous about patterns and using a sewing machine  but I started with some REALLY simple projects about 6 months ago and now I can make a lot of basic things - youtube is my friend!  So I am excited to sew my little bag, as a year ago I would have never thought I could do it!  Thanks Craftster for pushing my skill set!

I am almost done one bag.  It needs a bit more sewing to close and edge, and then a bit of ironing.  One bag for one partner is large, and the other bag is smaller, but of a style I think is more fitting to what I wanted to make for her, so I am sticking with the smaller bag as my crafted bag and using a fabric gift bag I have on hand as my swap bag.  Picked up some goodies for both partners and will be getting on with more crafting today, especially if some more of my supplies arrive.  Darned internet, I bought more stuff for me on the weekend.
