ha ha --we do tend to make stuff for others before we even make them for ourselves!

I made the first 10 things on the 50 projects lists things I need or want!!!  I listed a sewing machine pincushion...also, as much as I knit and crochet, I still do not have a proper bag...it is shameful, right?

I think we need another: one for you/one for me swap---you have to make two of whatever you and your partner decide...one to keep, one to give!

Oh My look at all the goodies. Waterbaby I love the bag & it has 4 sides Very cool idea, & all the extras!!!

Mini_mum the mug rug & coaster are very pretty, the pin cushion is very clever & all the scrapbooking supplies very nice.  You did a great job!!     I love to hand sew too, it is soothing, & practical!!

Here is the amazing Package that Foxy Sam sent to me.

First up is this notebook / journal cover, I have had this on my wish list for so long and she added so many special details, like the ladybird and outlining in embroidery all of the details on the fabric scraps.

Here is a shot from the outside and the inside.

Next up is a hoopla project bag. She so cleverly has reporposed a CD wallet into a hoop holder and Added a fab scrappy cover to it.

She also included some great extras like the pins,thread cards and the hoop & fabric.

And if that wasn't enough she also included some more extras!

The purple circles is a bracelet for me, the green snake is for my DD1 (sam previously made DD1 a crochet snake and she loves it!) and the small purple bracelet is for DD2. The ladybird cross stitch has been on my pintrest for ages, thanks for stitching him up Sam.

Thank you once again for being a skilled, tallented and generous swap partner Sam, it was great to partner up again.

Here's a slightly closer look, I think...


They're really easy to make - I found them on a blog from New Zealand (must be something in the water over there to inspire all these crafty creations...)

When you get the four points stitched together it doesn't seem like it's ever going to work, but if you just keep turning the sides it eventually all falls into place. Then a quick press with the iron and they suddenly look like you knew just what you were doing all along! 

I used a solid color (off-white) on one side of the circle.  To make them scrappy I made the other side by sewing together four 1/4 circles, 2 of each fabric.  I was going to use four different ones to keep with the 5 fabrics rule, but I thought it would just be too busy because they're not that large.  I hoped that 5 different pieces of fabric would be OK, even if they weren't 5 pieces of different fabrics, if you see what I mean. 

Beautiful work on everything - far too many to list, but I'm very impressed with the quality of everything in this swap!!

I am so glad you liked everything Elaine, and thanks for the comments, took ages to stitch but looked really neat being a bit more quilted I thought.  I want to make myself a re-purposed cd case too, it is the perfect size for the hoop a bit of fabric and the needly/pins that you need for a project on the go...plus it is already reinforced so is protected by a harder covering.  

Love all the projects that are popping up on the board, totally neato, it is really brilliant to see how many different ways everyone has done things...super.
