Sleeping Beauty and Belle' costume

This year I let my 3 year old daughter choose what we were going to be for Halloween.  She picked Disney Princesses.

So I spent a great deal of my year looking for a Sleeping Beauty pattern, cause mommy had to be Sleeping Beauty.  But with out paying $60+ for a pattern that wants going to fit, I chose to alter one that I had.  

Lots of messing up later I came up with this.

But it looks better on me.

What makes me very happy with this is that it only took me about 2 weeks of making.

Now for my daughter, she wanted to be Belle' from Beauty and the Beast.  Daddy was Beast.  But I really had to work on hers.  I have to alter the top and make extra panels for the dress, then I had to scrunch the dress, make the top off the shoulders part( which one side is bigger then the other and it makes me very mad), then the drapes on the skirt.  I couldn't find gold beads, so I had to make them.  I will upload those pictures later.

wow this dress is amazing!! It looks absolutely beautiful! The fabric choice is perfect! It fits you perfectly! Such professional quality! I love it! I just finished a cinderella costume and I WISH it looked as good as your sleeping beauty and I can't wait to see belles dress on your daughter!! Please post pictures!

That is amazing! What a fantastic job you did. You have inspired me to try and make my own costume this year. I think I will try and make the lady zoro costume since I have dark hair...I will have to post some pictures of it when I get done. Wow again great job.
