In the continuation of the custom blood drop characters theme, I present the Weeping Angel Blood Drop (cue the adage about getting blood from a stone...):

Start out with a normal Bob the Blood Drop:

Size F Hook
Worsted Weight Yarn

Round 1: SC 4 in magic Ring (or, ch 2 and sc 4 in second ch from hook).  Join {sl st to first SC, ch1}
Round 2: SC in each st, join (4)
Round 3: *SC in first st, 2 SC in next st* repeat from *, join (6)
Round 4: *SC in first st, 2 SC in next st* repeat from *, join (9)
Round 5: *SC in first st, 2 SC in next st* repeat from * to last st, sc in last st, join  (13)
Round 6: SC in each st, join (13)
Round 7: *SC in first two st, 2 SC in next st* repeat from * to last st, sc in last st, join (17)
Round 8: SC in each st, join (17)
Round 9: *SC in first two st, 2 SC in next st* repeat from * to last 2 st, sc in last 2 st, join (22)
Round 10: SC in each st, join (22)
Round 11: *SC in first st, 2 SC in next st* repeat from *, join (33)
Rounds 12-20: SC in each st, join (33)
Rounds 21-23: *SC in first st, SC 2tog* repeat from *, join
(stuff-as-you-go decreases)
Round 24: SC 2tog
(Cram as much stuffing as you can in as youre closing him up, remember, hes there to be squeezed so he needs to be fairly firm.)
Fasten off.

Then you make two arms...

Round 1: SC 4 in magic Ring (or, ch 2 and sc 4 in second ch from hook).  Do not join, work in a continuous spiral.
Round 2-3: Sc around (4)
Round 4: Ch2, sl st in 2nd ch, sc around (4)
Round 5-8: Sc around (4)

Then you make two wings...

Row 1: Ch 6
Row 2: Ch1, turn, sc in the next 4 st, then 3 sc in last stitch
Row 3: Ch1, turn, sc in the first sc, 2sc in the next sc, sc in the next 5 sc, ch 3
Row 4: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in the next 7 st, 2sc in next st, sc in last st
Row 5: Sc in first sc, 2sc in next sc, sc in next 9 st, ch 3
Row 6: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in the next 11 st, 2sc in next st, sc in last st, then sc 3 st down the "turn" edge to get back to the starting tail.

Sew the wings to the back of the drop along the back starting chain.  Sew arms on front.

I like it, Smeddley! I had been wondering what the blood drops you make were really for, other than cute. Now I think I figured it out...to squeeze with the blood giving arm  Grin Neat! Your other post about this one mentions the 'creepy' Weeping Angels. I agree. i will be crafting one for my daughter's birthday this week out of paperclay...for a Christmas Tree Topper *shivers*. She wanted the one with the reaching-out-to-get-you arms in time for Christmas, but I couldn't bring myself to make it then.  Roll Eyes They are quite popular from what my research on the web showed. I am sure your weeping blood drop will be wonderfully received. Nice of you to share your pattern!

Stillatthetop - yup, my original Bob goes with me each time I donate!  Everyone at the blood center loves him.  And I agree, the reaching angels are so much more creepy!

Thanks, everyone, I have one more Dr Who one I can think of, then... well, I might need to move on to another fandom!
