Hi everyone! Just want to let you guys know that while I know that DC#s are a MUST, I understand that some post offices have difficult employees- I've dealt with some myself. As some crafters have suggested, try using padded bubble mailers to mail out your stars.

If you are still unable to get a DC# due to difficult post office policies (i.e. employees), please obtain a receipt. The post office by my home gives receipts with the destinations of the package(s).

Of course, the receipt should be your last resort, short of putting a gun to a postal employee's head and demanding a DC# when they refuse to give you one.

Just wondering, has anyone started yet? Or are you waiting for your partners' info? I made a set, one star for each partner, but now I'm thinking maybe I should hold off until I get the info? What are you guys doing?

I made cards for the swap as I made some origami stars, but that is not stars for the swap, kwim?  I did make some bases/frames that will be decorated too.  Will likely try making a few more stars later today, but in a variety so hopefully it will hit the mark for someone.

I was thinking of signing up, but then I realized that I just want to make stars, not really receive any (trying to declutter and only take in useful items for a while).  So if you need an angel for anyone (or several anyones) let me know.  I would love to do that!

I will be starting before sign ups are over, I just haven't quite gotten there yet.  I'm hoping to receive a very mixed assortment of stars, I'm really not expecting (or wanting) my partners to worry about my preferences.  I think that's the fun of this swap!  Though if any of my partners have strong preferences, I will do my best to accommodate.

I will be making extras anyway as ornaments to go with Christmas gifts!  I actually make a different star ornament every year, so this swap is handily timed, since I would be making stars anyway.  Smiley

A-ok with personal swaps.

I really want a jar of stars!  I will think of them as happy thoughts from around the globe.   I know I sound super-cheesy but my life has taken a bit of a down-turn and I need some positivity...well, quite honestly, some cheering up!

I sent in my questionnaire.  PLEASE let me play!!!!

The time has come
The walrus said
To talk of many things-
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax-
Of cabbages and kings.
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings.
