Swap name:  Instant Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap:  runwithgumby
Sign-up date range:  6/15/05 to 6/16/05
Date to send item by:  6/20/05

Limited to a certain number of people?  no

Non-U.S. participants allowed?  No, sorry!

All ages allowed? Or 18+?  All allowed.

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: YES

Details of swap:
This swap is a quick one.  The plan is to sign up until this Thursday, youll get your partner info on Friday, make the craft on the weekend, and then send it off on Monday.  This swap does not mean glue some noodles to a paper as fast as you can, its for members who make good projects fast because they are so used to making them, so members who do not feel they can do a good enough job in about two days, please do not sign up.
Also, members who sign up should try to use as much of the materials they use that they already have around the house.  This way, there is no need to waste time shopping.  The craft you make can be anything you enjoy making.  The swap should basically be a surprise.  If you have no clue what you could make, though, the partner info may help you out.
(plan on sending one big item or several small items, you be the judge on how many small items to send depending on how small they are)

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap:
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address:
What are possible colors or prints of materials you may use?
What colors or prints do you like?
What do you mainly enjoy crafting (hopefully you have the supplies on hand)?
Do you like to receive surprises?
What type of item would you like to receive?(sewn, crocheted, bag, etc.)

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

AFTER PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED UP AND BEEN APPROVED, THE ORGANIZER (runwithgumby) WILL LIST THE PARTICIPANTS HERE AND WHO IS SENDING TO WHOM:  <list will appear 6/17/05>

I really wanted to join in this one this time around but I'm away this weekend but I'd be up for doing one next weekend or whenever other people are available.

Absolutely! I was thinking every week but that might be too often. Maybe once or twice a month would be fun!
I did that 'yessss' cha-ching arm motion deal when I saw this sign up went up. SO awesome.

i was thinking every weekend too, but i'd burnout quick, so i was thinking if it was like the third weekend of every month or something like that, it would be less stressful, but soon enough, and the best part is that since it's so short, it wont hold you up before doing other swaps!

I would definitely be willing to organize another one of these sometime in late July (when all of my other swaps will be over!)... but I'm sure someone will beat me to it, hah.

Well, it's 4am and I think I'm done for the night (seven hours of crafting later)... I guess I forgot that I'm not actually good or at least fast at making anything, but I love doing it anyway. (: Tonight's crafts included a beach bag-looking tote thing with matching make-up or whatever you want to put in it pouch... Who knows what I'll do tomorrow! But for now, good night.

My apartment looks like there was some sort of yarn and bead explosion, but I'm finished. I just need to find a box. I hope bluesparkie likes the stuff I made as  much as I like it.

AHHH! Wool takes soooo long to dry. I blocked the things I knit for this on Saturday afternoon, and I checked on them this morning, and they were still damp. If they are not dry when I get home from work there will have to be some blow drier action before I head to the post office.

Looks like I'm the lucky first one to receive! Thanks Sharon for such great stuff! I love it all  Grin. I especially like the cow box and the mini stone magnets. They're adorable. Sharon painted a box red and painted a cow on the cover, made a red belt with white polka dots and also sewed on some blue beads, a foamy cat thingy on black cardboard (feels very cool, don't know how you did it), painted a wooden turtle (I think I'll glue tiny pictures onto the shell), and made a bunch of tiny flowery, glass magnets. Awesome work! Thanks again.

Here's a pic of her stuff.
