Sooo... I didn't get a chance to make an "understated" costume for work this year.  Instead, I went for a variety of Halloween inspired accessories!  I love classic horror (from the B&W era), and I've been meaning to make some old horror inspired pieces for awhile.  Yay Halloween motivation!

First up is Bela.  I'm also a stupid huge Bauhaus fan and couldn't resist the reference.  Halloween makes me weak!

Next we have Boris!  I painted the glass heart charm with green nail polish and added the stitches with a toothpick as I lack a fine brush.  The holographic glitter surrounding his portrait didn't really come out well in any of the photographs... boo.

Finally we have my all time fave, Vinny.

I added some chandelier crystals to add to his necklace to make it extra special.

Not monster related, but I had fun painting the square glass bead and flower bead on this necklace with nail polish to make them more "goth-y" before I added the anatomical heart to the charm.

And another heart pendant, just because.  Glitter is a pain to photograph!

I've got several more movie monster pendants in the works; a Margret Hamilton, Elsa Lanchester, and some more Vinny and Bela of course.  It's so addictive!  Thanks for looking!  : )

I have an Etsy store now, thanks to peer pressure: http://www.etsy.com/shop/MazikeenStudios
I'm also trying to make 7 things a week for a year.  http://mazikeenstudios.blogspot.com/  (Warning: this is usually pretty behind!)

As soon as I saw the first one I went 'Bela lugosi's dead' in my head. Grin Another fan here.

Love all of them, they are fan-bloody-tastic. Kiss
