Quozol, I use Jacquard acid dyes.

Here is my silk scrap yarn. This time I tacked the strips together with a metallic silver thread. Plied with a variegated thread. Still figuring out the most effective way to join my pieces.

I made these spindles last weekend. Those are bling-covered bangle bracelets from the dollar store. The inner whorl is painted cardboard. Smiley

The bracelet ones are VERY fun to spin on and spin a long time.

 In a Spider's Garden. This was spun for the anti-yarn challenge on my Facebook group. We were to not use traditional spinning materials. I used Halloween cobweb, cut up fake autumn flowers, and I auto-wrapped it with black sewing thread. Since the spideys would not fit through the orifice, they were plunked on later.
