Macho Man Randy Savage

My boyfriend's Macho Man Randy Savage costume paying homage to the mustard yellow and ketchup red Slim Jim advertising campaign. During our Halloween Party, he was zombie Macho Man Randy Savage, but these photos were taken the day after and we figured the hard work spoke for itself without the zombie makeup.

The Jacket is a thrift shop suit jacket covered in red duct tape for the body and black duct tape on the arms. The body of the suit is covered in mustard yellow "zebra stripes" cut out from strips of duct tape with an exacto knife and then placed over the red duct tape of the body. The fringe underneath the arms is over a yard of fabric cut into strips and duct taped/hot glued to the underarm of the jacket. The "Oh Yeah!" is also made of duct tape which was cut out with an exacto knife.

The pants are thrift store jogging pants picked for their shine. The fringe under the knees is over a yard's worth of fabric and all fabric on the pants are combination duct taped/hot glued into place.

The hat was formerly a red pimp hat bought from the thrift store that came with a leopard print band that I removed. Again, "zebra stripes" are the same mustard yellow duct tape.

The glasses were purchased at a Halloween store and the yellow duct tape M's were added later. The Slim Jim...it's from Wal-Mart. All in all we went through 1 roll of black duct tape, 1 roll of yellow duct tape, and several rolls of red duct tape.
