My husband is a fan of The Princess Bride, so this year he was the Dread Pirate Roberts for Halloween! I think it may have actually been my idea, because I thought he would make a cute pirate  Cheesy

I made the shirt with the Simplicity 3758 pattern, and modified view B to have different (handbound) lacing holes, two buttons on the cuff instead of one, and a longer body and sleeves (because the hubs is 6'6").  I also made him the leather mask, head covering, and sash.



Since he doesn't look anything like Westley, we decided he was Cumberbund instead Grin

He purchased the pants, boots, and sword, and the gloves were from last year's Captain Hammer costume.

I ended up purchasing most of my costume because I was so busy making him that darn shirt!

You did a fantastic job! He looks wicked cool and the costume "reads" perfectly even in thumbnail. Smokin' hot!
