I'm planning to start an online fabric store and I'm curious to know what makes or breaks a deal when people are shopping online.

I do a lot of sewing and I use a lot of yarn. Will you only offer fabric (i.e. bolts, yards, etc. of cotton, fleece, other like materials) or are you going to offer all kinds of fibers such as yarns, felt, t-shirts, and other crafty fabric stuff?

My other question is, how do you plan on promoting your store? I may have a suitable online promotional venue for you through my design team.

Hmmm... If im buying fabric online, i would look for variety. Mostly in patterns/colours/prints, but also in types - like 100% cottons, satins, lace & knit fabrics. I would look for an advantage in price points - so not too expensive and maybe some sale items. Good photos are necessary for selling fabrics, people want to know exactly what they are buying. And people also want to go to a fabric store to find something unique  Wink
