... I was a showgirl, with yellow feathers in my hair and a dress cut down to there...

Hello! This year’s Halloween party had a K or L theme, so I went as Lola from Copacabana!

I made pretty much everything, dress, headdress and even embellished the shoes. Only thing I bought was earrings.

I have never made an outfit before, the dress was adapted from a very loose strappy dress-top, completely shapeless and I used an old bra to give it the shape. The whole dress is sewn – no glue at all. The headdress is mainly glued.

Anyway, on to the pictures:

Me with Kylie, Little Red Riding Hood and Kate Middleton...

My favourite picture! (Dress was a bit lower than I thought it would be, I guess showgirls aren't really known for their modesty)

Inspiration:
Whole outfit and dress inspiration came from google images searches, although I particularly like this and this
Headdress inspiration here and here
Make-up inspiration was from this video

There are a LOT of in-progress photos here. I have added descriptions! There are also more photos of me playing with photoshop. C&C&Qs welcome Smiley

Thank you for looking - MWAH!

Thank you! It was so much fun to make, I'd definitely recommend making the headdress - I love playing with glitter!
