This year my 4 year old son, who has refused to wear any form of costume since he was big enough to tell me so, requested one for the nursery Halloween party.
I was told that "I shall be an alien and you shall sew it for me Mummy!"
So this is what I came up with. I took a cheap blue hooded top and "monsterised" it.

It's really an update of this one that I made him when he was about 18 months old

He informed me that "it should have one silly eye poking out the top for looking at you with."

Aliens love chocolate, apparently.

That is fantastic.  The red claws and googly eye are just great.  In fact I think I might have to make myself one, with an eye pointing backward to watch out for ratbag children getting up to mischief...
