So, this is my first post on here ever... with pics. Been a creepy lurker for a while now but thought it's about time to post something grand. This year i decided i wanted to be the bee girl off the Blind Melon album cover and the No Rain music video.

The costume took me about two weeks of procrastination but i was able to finish it the night before I was to wear it. I knitted the hat and the arm warmers. Used an old bathing suit as a pattern for my spandex suit (which i gave up on halfway through and tossed out the old bathing suit lol). I sewed the tutu and they yellow ribbon around it.

I some how, miraculously, found tap shoes in my size at a thrift store. I think that's a big time score. Basically everything in my costume was handmade except for the tights and the shoes.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!!

I'm glad other people recognized who i was besides my friends. i just got a lot of "oh.. a cute huge bumble bee" ... not one "blind melon bee girl!!" ... you saying that my costume was instantly recognizable totally made me feel like my effort was way worth it
