URSULA THE SEA WITCH

I cut out 8 curvy, pointed tentacles from black and purple satin.  Sewed them together and lightly stuffed with poly fill.  I then sewed the wide end to the bottom of a long sleeved lavender tee shirt.  I took a slinky knit shirt and roused it a couple of inches in the front so it would look like it was shaped like a corset top.  The skirt hung long enough to cover the bottom of the tee shirt where the tentacles  were sewn to the top.  I used fishing line and attached it to several of the tentacles and then tied the other end to rings that also had sea shells attached.  Whenever I moved my hands the tentacles would move up and down. The necklace was also hand made by drilling holes into the shells and stringing them on fish line.

This looks so good! I love that you were brave enough to be Ursula, since not many people want to dress up as her. You did so well, and you can hardly see your feet, so it looks like an octopus So much fun! You make me wanna watch Little Mermaid. Haven't seen it in the longest time!

I did this custome for our Mother Daughter banquet at church. When the call went out for volunteers to play the evil villiness' to the Disney Princess' I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it. But when I saw what Ursula looked liked, I knew I had all the right stuff to play her.   After all I had the "BBC" going on, "The Boobs, The Belly and The Chin!" I was a shoe in to play the part.  And it gave me a great custome for halloween also!  Everyone roared when I walked out on stage, and waved to them and my tenticals started moving. My daugher did my hair an make up.
