Hi!!

I wanted to make this necklace for a long, long time... finally Ive found the time and patiente! ^^

Ive been always amazed by the aztec calendar...

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/65/Monolito_de_la_Piedra_del_Sol.jpg

so Ive adapted it into a necklace. Ive used ultralight sculpey, and used inks and acrylic paint for the patinas....

What do you think about it? Oh, pictures are made by a good friend:

This is AMAZING!  Does the sculpy bend enough to get it on easily?  Do you think it would hold up to repeated wear?  Oh, and did I mention THIS ROCKS?!?!

The big picture may be amazing but it's the little details that inspire.

Thank you all for your words, Im happy yove liked it! ^^

Badpuppy, it was a challenge to make this necklace because of the motives you ask, I knew that if I only use clay it would brake very easily... so I made an structure, by soldering wire, three concentric rings and radial pieces, like a circular railway.... then i covered it with clay and baked it, and then I started with the little pieces of decoration... so, because of the wire, its really rigid, you can only open enough to wear it... and because of the clay the wire doesnt get deformed... Im really happy with the result! excuse my english for the explanation ^^
