When i saw this contests i new i had to join up. this is my first one to enter here, and i know my Sister would realy love her sewing machine back lol.  Any way... I Fell in love with steam punk this year when i did my first Crafster swap, it was the small steam punk swap by Alchamy513, it was then i decided i want to make my own steam punk costume and what better base to start with then Victorian late 1880's Smiley

Sorry about it being on the dress form i took pictures yesterday and i still hadn't finished the hemming and a few seams on the underskirt so please ignore the pins Smiley i shall modify the thread to have a pic of me in the costume after my party tonight Smiley Sorry the pics of me in the costume are with out hte jacket because it sufferd a miner rip and i haven't fixed it yet Smiley

Presenting Steam Punk Victorian!

And a few Detail shots. the different color panels on the jacket was a mistake but i kinda fell in love with it that way Smiley, the back of the jacket needs still to have grommets put in for lacing (i ran out Smiley )

A few Shots with out the Jacket Smiley to show off the bustle

and the Mini Top hat i made to go with the outfit Smiley

I also put little pearl beads on the inside of the bustle ruffs no idea why you can't see them bu i like the idea of them being there.

I hope you like it as much as i do Smiley and thank you all who may vote for me

Thank you soo much!
The Jacket is from Simplicity pattern 2172 http://www.simplicity.com/p-6060-misses-costume.aspx but i alterd it to be split in the back and hang at a point instead.
the rest was just from my own patterns Smiley

as in the ruffles do you mean the bustle on the skirt or the cravat ruff at the shirt collar? if it's the bustling of the skirt i watched this online vid tutorial over and over again Smiley

Thank You so much! i added more flare then what i originally planed because of this contest. lol my sister-in-law wants her sewing machine back :0

Those are the ones I meant thank-you. Smiley

If any one wants some of the patterns or tutorial steps i used on these please PM me. i don't mind sharing, Or even better if you would like to do a personal swap for a costume of your own, i could realy use some new accessories like a ray gun or other steam punk goodies,(im not so good with accessories Smiley ). also im in love with poppets but can not seem to get the hang of making them so if any one wants to trade a poppet for some costume parts im up for that too.  please let me know
