So hard to choose one costume to enter...I made three cool costumes for my girls but I guess the grinch is the coolest!

The thing that makes it work is the latex appliance that gives her face the right shape

I created the mask by doing a plaster cast of her face and building up a clay nose and forehead.  Then I painted layers of liquid latex to create an appliance that I can glue on with spirit gum.

The hood, pants, gloves and shoes were all done without a pattern.  The hood, gloves and shoes were done with a ducttape and fabric encasing method.  After encasing with fabric and tape, I cut the tape into pattern pieces...makes for a perfect fit.

Everything in the costume was made by me from top to bottome Cheesy
And, of course, it was inspired by the movie with Jim Carrey.  Hope you like it Smiley

lol...actually it ended up being like 60 degrees both days she wore it...she was sweating inside the latex mask.  But she didn't mind...she loved being the grinch Cheesy
