The carts were made using these inflatable carts that you can buy to use as chairs. We cut a hole in the middle and stuffed the parts that went flat. Then we painted them all. Luckily, we didn't have to stuff everything after cutting the hole because there were like three separate places that you blew the chair up.

This is AMAZING!  I'm not a even a fan of video games and I love this.  I have to see the before and after of the chair/carts though because I can't visualize what you're talking about.  But so cool!

This is what the carts looked like before:  http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Inflatable-Racing-Kart-Nintendo/dp/B003ISGJWO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1320174169&sr=8-2

Hahaha,  Grin  I can "see" you running around the dance floor throwing accessories to each other! What a fun you must have had.

Love the whole Mario Kart scene! My boys love that game, should not show it or I have work to do  Cheesy

Good work! Thanks for sharing.

Oh and this rocks.

This is so fun! I love giant group costumes, and this one is so detailed and well-done.
