On behalf of new members, or members who are new to swapping, I'd like to suggest a "first-time swappers" project with the requirement being something little... like making something themed out of an Altoid tin or match box.

I'd love to try swapping but some seem quite complicated with multiple sized projects required (2 small and 1 medium), and it would be nice to start small and try it out.

Of course, being new,  I can't be a swap organizer, but I'd love for someone to run this for us.

Thanks! Chris

Why don't you try joining an ATC or inchie swap? Or an OTT swap? I just finished my first swap, I just had to make and send one ATC, and thought it was a great way to get used to the swapping process! Smiley

PARTNERS! If you send me anything after Dec 5th, PM me for my Dutch address, do NOT send anything to China after this date! Thanks!

Current swaps:
November Ongoing ATC swap *sent / December Ongoing ATC swap *crafting / Jar of Stars *sent / OIS *sent / December Birthday swap *designing and planni

What is an OTT?

OTT is One Tiny Thing - the swap is for one item that's smaller than 4"x4" (10cm x 10cm)

Hi, and welcome to the fun of Craftster swapping!!
There have been several rounds of a swap specifically designed for newbies....
let me look up the links for the past 2 rounds:

and gallery links:

The nice thing is that you have an organizer who can coach you
through the process so it's not so overwhelming, and you know
that your partner is a newbie as well, so you are both on equal
footing, so to speak.....
I think they run them every couple of months, but I'll PM Loves2Experiment
to see if & when she plans another one....

Newbie swap sounds great! I can't wait until I have been here long enough to do a swap. I can't believe I've been crafting for YEARS and I am just finding out about swaps. So fun!

I would like to add that I ( and I am sure all Craftsters  Grin) would be more than happy to swap with a person new to swapping at any time.
We all have to start somewhere, and I remember the anxiety of my first swap, and still get anxious when I send!
Dive right in, we will welcome you with open arms  Grin
