No swap spot - swap to launch

Ok, so I just couldn't resist signing up for the scrappy swap, but I have also said that I will open signups to an ongoing inchie swap in early novemebr, with claims starting 15th November. I don't have a swap spot free, I have one that only needs a small package to arrive and another 2 that May take about 2 weeks until I get feedback. So my question is:

Can I open a swap as a 'non participating' organiser - so it is not listed in my swaps - and then 'join' later when I have a free swap spot? Is this allowed?

Sorry, even if you are just organizing and not swapping you have to have the swap in your profile as you still are participating by being the organizer.  So its either wait for your package to arrive or see if someone else would like to take over as organizer if you can't get feedback in time.
