I am planning to make some simple sewn ornaments out of stuff from my pile of fashion fabric scraps (ie things like wool tweed and corduroy). If anyone has any thematic requests, let me know, or it will just be whatever I feel like when wielding scissors....

birdies, perhaps? or I have a friend who would like a chicken one~

on another note, I like this (hmmmm maybe TSM is up for making these?)

and for the clay-makers....I love cardinals!

and I just had to share this that I just stumbled on, LOL:

blarg. I'm sick with sick on top - and apparently have been for 1,5-2 weeks. I thought it was just a cold but it's the flue and I might also have atypical pneumonia >_< I'm doing a little crafting when I can for the schools Christmas fair in two weeks and I'm slowly getting well. But I'm sooooo bored and I sleep soo much!

The Mitten Project is a year of mittens! Each week a new mitten and you get to choose which ones should be knit. In the end three pairs will be given away to you readers.

sorry to double post --
I'm a member of a couple of groups that send items to the American Indian reservations,
and one thing mentioned lately is that when the girls get their periods, they simply stay home from
school bec. they don't have the necessary pads, etc. to protect their clothing.
Since I don't really sew, I was wondering if anyone could make some of the reusable pads
for me to donate?  This site was suggested, but I'm sure any would do:

(I have points--thanks for considering this request!)

I will make you some mailers, kayrun!  Not till next week, though, if that's okay.  I'll PM you for your size preferences!

Love the button ornament!  And the cardinal pendant!  And the leafy cloth!

Get better pseudo!

Hmm, not good if you have a wool allergy though I guess you could use cotton yarn...probably cotton fabric is easier to wash/maintain.

I def. can't imagine it would work well with wool yarn and was thinking cotton yarn would be the way to go...
