Chevron skirt from thrifted tunic

I cut off the bodice and made a waistband from black stretchy knit material. I made the band an inch or so smaller than my waist for a snugger fit and then sewed it onto the skirt fabric. It is a little wonky around the waist but I plan to wear the tops over the waist anyways.
