Back to Base X spy themed game

I was in the Chuck swap and made this game for my partner:



It's basically Sorry but has spy-themed rules, colors and cards. I named it Back to Base X because 1. I put Xs on the spaces where home is on Sorry and 2. I liked how the name sounds when you say it fast (Base X=basics. Yeah, I know I'm weird.)



For the pieces I used those little floral gem stones. The colors were surprisingly easy to find.



I put the rules in an airmail envelope.

The board itself is all felt with oodles of wonder under and thread. All totaled the game took about 9 hours to make. I love making games and spy stuff so I had a fantastic time with this.

That is a brilliant Idea and a great way to make games for the kids, probably could make them educational to a certain degree as well.

Yes, you can totally make them educational! I tend to believe that playing games is educational in and of itself because it can build social skills, reasoning, and a whole host of other things. Even this game has non-exact color matching, counting, direction, etc.
