not sure if this is a viable idea or not - but sure a more experienced crafster will be able to tell me!

love knitted/crochet blankets but get fed up of doing all the squares etc myself, so thought a swap might work.

Was kind of thinking of doing a round robin type swap - so each person has more than 1 partner to craft for, but will also receive more than 1 piece for their blanket.

I thought that rather than saying 'make x sized squares', each person could choose a freely available pattern (from somewhere like ravelry) that is 'modular' (like the  scarf to throw pattern) and specify yarn weight and colour selection, and specify a size (eg the scarf should br 24" long).

There would need to be a minimum and maximum size limit for each send out - so that each person got roughly the same amount of 'blanket'.

would anyone be interested in something like this?

I think this could be fun, and I'd be down for that since I'd like to join a swap anyway.

Would we shoot for larger squares for fewer people or smaller squares for more people? I guess it all depends on how many people want in. It be neat to combine both knit and crochet squares, so people could decide which they'd want to do. I only crochet but I'd like some knit mixed in with mine.
