My husband has been wanting to make his own window clings based on Ed Emberley art forever.  This year he actually went out and bought the blackout film and set to work.  About a week later our bay window was covered in these awesome images just in time for Halloween.

I wrote up a little tutorial here: http://diylouisville.blogspot.com/2011/10/halloween-window-clings-tutorial.html

Very cool! One year I painted the story of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" in a big window for Christmas time... it looked great, but after about 4 hours of scrubbing off the "washable" paint I swore never to do it again... Maybe I'll try your way next time.

What fun!  We just got a few Emberley books.  Would be fun to swap out occasionally through the year.

Cute idea!  Are the clings reusable?  I love that your husband gets into it, too!

I think the clings would be reusable as long as you either saved the backing sheet or carefully stored them between sheets of paper.

Awesome! Never really thought about custom window clings. But this is brilliant! So much better looking than the ones that you can find at the store
