Hi everyone! My name's Murphy and I started sewing about 2 yrs ago when I wanted to make a costume for my son because all of the one's out there looked cheap to me. So I decided I could make him one. I went out and bought a sewing machine and started cutting felt and ended up with a spongebob costume, lol! Well I'm still at it and have decided I would try other things too. Yup I get a funny look everytime I walk into work with a sewing machine and they all ask what are you doing with that? Oh well....I don't care what they think. I'm working on a costume for him again this year and recently bought an embroidery machine to help me craft more costumes for him. I managed to teach myself how to use it in a few days with the software and am off and running again. So basically.....yup! I'm a guy, I got a sewing machine and I somehow have figured it out enough to make something. I just recently found out that if you back stitch you can lock the thread in and not have to tie overhand knots to keep it from unraveling....lmao!!!! Yeah...I feel dumb about that one. Anyway, glad to find this place and hope to learn more about this sewing machine.
