We had a lovely Halloween party for Marc's 9 year old daughter and her friends.
Marc and I spent some fun hours crafting for it:

Wow, this is all amazing.... What is in the third from bottom picture? It looks really gross. In the best of ways of course. Wink

Hey, great, the first comment on a three year old post!
Thank you!
(We use most of those decorations again each year. We only add to it. Ow, and I get to weave new spiderwebs each year. I think I'll start on them tomorrow.)

The picture you asked about is of a pot of 'mud soup', which contained mud, ice tea, carrots, some weeds from our garden and the remains of a real rabbit (bought at a local bucher store). That thing on top is its head. It really scared the kids. For a few seconds they thought they had to actually eat it! But they got spaghetti instead.
The next year we used plastic 'bloody' chopped off fingers, instead of the rabit.

Here are some more pictures (including the fingers mud soup):

Feel free to use any of these ideas.
And if you have any more questions, just let me know.
