not really about the swap, but funny stories to share abt lefties. heh.

im not left handed myself, but i used to be when i was little, til my father decided that it was "not normal", and trainned me intensively to make me use my right hand. meh. i grab a pen with my right hand and everthing, but in my kayak races i always lead off with my left hand  Grin. all my partners have had to adjust to leading off with the left hand 'cos nothing ever goes right during the race if im forced to lead right. heh, goes to show u cant train it all out.
my radio production lecturer is a lefty too, so he was telling us about the doorknobs. the doors are made for righties, so that with ur right hand u can reach across ur body and fling open the door and waltz through. neat and graceful. BUT!! a lefty would have to twist open the knob in e opps way he/she's inclined to, transfer the knob to the othr hand, while fumbling, especially if the door's a heavy one, then stumble on through.
it was so freaking hilarious, cos he actually walked up to the door and demoed everything to us! and it was a little of a big deal, cos he worked in the media and it threw ppl off that the stylish and impecable guy was being so wierd. wahahha!! of course, tt scared me a little, being as im studying to be in the media too. Shudders.

my aunt was supposed to be left handed, but she went to a catholic school and they thoguht she was the devil or something, so they tied her left hand to the desk during class!!
People like that are just plain ignorant!
