These may not have taken me everywhere I wanted to go, but they took me where I needed to be. Wink

I was in the Doctor Who fill a box swap and made a knee high pair of socks for my partner.

The pattern is from Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tardis-socks-tribute

I could tell by the second sock I needed to make a pair for myself.
As I like a shorter sock, I had enough yarn left over to whip these up. Barely. Especially since I used the charcoal yarn for the heel and toe.

I altered the original pattern a little, carrying the ribbing over the foot to get the tardis doors represented.
Also, the rav pattern was a bit big on my so essentially I used a tried and true sock pattern I know fits me and applied the charts to it.

Thank you for checking this out!

And remember
Intellect and Romance over Brute force and Cynicism!

Sweeet.  I'm making these for my Dr. Who-fan buddy right now and I like your interpretation of them.  Playing fast and loose with patterns is one of the funnest things about being a knitter Smiley

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

Thanks for the great feedback!!!

So awesome!! I wish I could knit.
It took me three tries years apart to teach myself before it finally stuck. I say the world needs more knitters! Really, when the zombie Apocalypse happens, people are going to need socks! Am I right?
