Calvin and Hobbes!

Growing up, getting to see Calvin and Hobbes in the newspaper before heading off to school was a daily treat. I was so infatuated with the strip that naturally I wanted my own plushies. Sadly, I never got them because there were no officially-sanctioned Calvin and Hobbes dolls.

Until last year, when I decided to make my own!



The bodies are stuffed with garden wire to make them poseable. Unfortunately,
I don't really flex them too much since it is a bit fragile. Is there any other
type of wire suitable for this purpose?



Calvin is about six inches tall while Hobbes is a foot tall.



It may have taken years of waiting, but it was worth it in the end!

Great job!  My sons were huge Calvin and Hobbes fans when they were younger and I'm sure they would have loved these.

Fantastic job! I can only crochet blankets and am always fascinated how people make 3D-things willy-nilly! And then Calvin and Hobbes, my favourites! Awesome!

Great job on these two! There is plenty of variety nowadays in craft wire. You should check out your local Michaels or Joanns and see what they've got!
