I have a bad habit of taking off my rings anywhere and everywhere when I'm doing something, like dishes. Unfortunately, this includes my wedding set..and yes, I've lost them MULTIPLE times. Whether it be a simple misplacement or the cat getting ahold of one, it usually ends in tears and a bajillion apologies to my husband, who finds it rather amusing and always reminds me that it would be easier to keep them on. I've finally found someone to help me!

Meet Ella the Elephant.

She is made from polymer clay and then painted with acrylic paint. I kinda just want to squeal over her everytime I look at her, but then I see the little imperfections. >.< Ah, well. Just means I'll have to make her a family. Of other animals. *SQUEAL!*

And here's Ella at work.

Needless to say, she does her job VERY well. I may need to fashion up some peanuts as a treat for her.

Thanks for looking!

Ella is adorable and such a helpful girl she is. Uh. What imperfections? Is she sitting on them? I think she looks great.

If she were at my house, she would definitely need family of other animals, though they would never be in the same room because I do the same thing. Elephant by the kitchen sink, giraffe in the bathroom...
I really like her, is what I'm saying.

Thanks everyone! Smiley

The imperfections are miniscule, but there's a few spots that needed to be sanded better. And the pink in her ears is a bit uneven. Just little things like that, the ones only the maker can see.

This is exactly what I'm thinking! I was thinking of attempting a panda bear and having it hold a bamboo stick for the rings. Or even a ninja with a sword, because I'm a sucker for ninjas.

The big picture may be amazing but it's the little details that inspire.
