I recently got into knitting socks! Here are my first few pairs!

My most recent ones! I finished them tonight It took one skein for each sock. (Patons brand I do believe)

I mostly watched Dr Who whiles knitting these XD

These are cute little ankle socks, though you can't see the top part Tongue

They came out oddly Christmas colored! hahaha. This was my first finished pair... One is shorter than the other XD

I love this yarn- It's some sort of bamboo/wool type (wish I kept  the paper!) Super comfy and a great color!

I plan on making lots more socks, so if you have any suggestions or nice patterns, feel free to share! Cheesy

Great socks! Sock knitting is seriously addicting. I finished my first pair and cast on my second as soon as I finished the first. I love the first pair, is it a self striping yarn?

Yes, it's self striping Smiley I haven't gotten into colorwork yet, though I really need too!

And yes it is SO addictive D: I start planning out my next pair halfway through the the first sock XD

They look nice and warm! And well made!
What size needles did you use for the first pair? If the thickness is only 2 or 2,5 mm they must have taken forever to make...(and a lot of Dr. Who episodes  Wink)

Suggestion for a next project: A pair of Tardis socks?  Grin Or Daleks?

LOL I totally knitted long socks out of the same Paton's colorway that you used in your first picture.  I was like, hey...she took my socks!

Thanks everyone!

The first one is just your basic top-down sock pattern, I got it from my Teach Yourself Visually Sock-Knitting :3 (Very helpful book)

I plan on doing more knee socks with cables soon! Whoo Smiley

you are totally killing me!! i should be doing things for work and now i just want to make socks Cheesy and yes, i'm a self-employed person just now (my Real Job starts in 6 hours) and i'm at home, thinking that i should get on with doing stuff for my biz, but i really NEEEED new socks... i'd love to do black and white-striped socks. that's my goal now. although, i'm terrified of the notion of making stripes. i'd love to have striped yarn at hand, but haven't seen a black and white -stripe yarn. HMM, maybe i COULD make some someday... people DO color their own yarns, after all.
