Here is the beautiful artwork that dfabbric sent me. She painted each member of my family their favorite superhero.

Shazam has been my husband's favorite character since he was little mainly because when Shazam isn't Shazam, he's just a young boy. My husband is now a social worker who works with kids and he likes using the inside every child is a superhero metaphor in his work.

Wonder Woman is my favorite.

My two boys love Batman and Robin. This year, my six year old is dressing as Robin for Halloween. My eight year old was Batman last year. They are both very excited to be included in the swap and they love their new pieces of artwork.

Until we get them frame, they are propped up on the mantel next to our superhero statues and pop heroes.

Thanks again dfabbric! You are awesome and you made everyone in my house feel special.

What is the shiny spiderman thing?

Yay!  So glad you like it, Vamp!  The Spiderman thing is a little tin covered in poly clay with a poly clay Spiderman face and the web is iridescent hot glue.  I thought it looked really "webby."  The tin is usable and the top is lined with felt.  Not sure what would fit....maybe jewelery or tiny papercraft supplies.

I love the little Robin! My boyfriend likes to draw superheroes, and he's drawn a few really cute "kid" superheroes as well. (The Tiny Adventures of Li'l Batman, as he calls them).

I think that's why people like superheroes so much...they like imaginging that they could possibly have that power inside them.

I received an absolutely amazing package from Danynn! Take a look below.

First off a hoopla with the X-Men symbol.

But wait, what's this? It's double-sided! Kitty Pryde & Lockheed don the other side.

Last but certainly not least is the most amazing thing ever! My very own Lockheed plush! Seriously, it's perfect.

Thanks so much Danynn!
