Okay, so I made another skull - with a mouth in a better position.  What do you think?

It is a quick little project.  The skull is only about 3 inches long.

If you want to make your own, I made the pattern:

What you will need:

Ivory yarn (a few yards)

Pink, purple, turquoise, and green yarn (about 6 inches each)

Black silvery yarn (about a yard)

Size G/6 4.25mm crochet hook

Needle and black thread

Flower for adornment

Head:
With ivory, Chain 2
Round 1: in 2nd chain from hook, sc 6 (6 sts). Place marker in last sc and move marker as you complete each round.

Round 2: 2 sc in each sc (12 sts)
Round 3 make mouth :  2 sc, sc in next 2 sc
    change to pink

sc in same sc

change to purple

sc in next sc

change to turquoise:

sc in next sc

change to yellow

sc in same sc

change to green

sc in next sc

change to purple

sc in next sc

change to pink

sc in same sc

change to ivory

(sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in next sc (18)

Round 4: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around (24 sts)
Round 5: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) around (30 sts)
Round 6 shape chin: (2 sc, sc in next 4 sc) twice, sc2tog 5 times, (sc in next 4 sc, 2sc) twice (29 sts)
Round 7 continue to shape chin : sc in next 13 sc, sc3tog, sc in next 13 sc (27 sts)
Round 8 - 10: sc around (27 sts)
Round 11: (sc2tog, sc) around (18 sts)
Round 12-13: sc around (18 sts)
STUFF

Remaining Rounds: sc2tog until the head closes

Eyes make 2:
With Black Silvery yarn, Chain 2
Round 1: sc 6 in second chain from hook.  sl in first sc to close round.
Weave in strings.  Sew Eyes onto head.
Attach a crochet flower.

Note: Any crochet flower will do - but if you want the pattern for the flower I used, contact me, and I can make a pattern for that one.

Thank you for looking!

Oh, and a pattern with images are on my blog: http://sensitivesnapdragon.blogspot.com/2011/10/updated-day-of-dead-skull-pattern.html
