Monina, thanks for the tips.  I too have found that deviding the tiers in quarters for gathering makes it easier.  But I go from the top down and one reason I did that is that I used old skirt waists for the top and then made each tier bigger.  The last one that I did each tier was about 40 inches more than the one before.  The first one I did was not that much bigger for each tier because I was afraid that if it looked too big my daughter would not wear it. 

But yes, even though I don't have one of these right now I have had them at different times in my life.  YOu can see the two I made on here, they are under reconstructed clothing and under sew along gypsy skirt.  I too hope to make some for myself soon and yes of course with the big earings!!!

Thanks for the tips... gotta try this out.  Perhaps after the winter holidays as craftster has me going in all sorts of crazy directions with all the creative things i want to try.  Gotta make the xmas presents first tho!

Not yet crafty enough to have a rawking sig.
