Yes, my daughter Tongue I don't want to do anything TOO extravagant. I am trying to teach her the value of what she has rather than showering her with a ton of gifts.. I would like to do something that teaches.. in some way. I can sew, but I am far from the greatest..

It's not until October. She has PLENTY of matching games, puzzles and the like..

So I know your daughter's birthday has passed already but I just saw the thread and these ideas can be used for four year olds as well.

Okay so I have a couple of ideas. The first being an I Spy pillow.

I'm sure there are better tutorials online but this is the one I just googled.

Idea number two, you could make a quiet book and make pages that have to do with sorting objects or tying shoes, etc. There are a lot of ideas on the Internet and then every so often you could add more pages.

The last idea would be to get a binder, clear page protectors, and dry erase crayons (crayola) and then print out activity pages from the Internet. Stick the pages in the protective sheets and put the pages in the binder.

I hope this helps.
