Soooo I'm planning ahead for Christmas because this guy is so difficult to get things for.

I was his lodger for a year, so technically he was my landlord, but we became really good mates.

He likes tinkering with vehicles, and he has a dog. He won't drink out of anything other than a plastic bottle so mugs etc are out. He hates tea, coffee and chocolate. He won't read.

Last year I got him a calendar featuring pics of his dog Smiley The year before that I made him a peg bag because I'd just moved out and taken mine with me   Grin

A tool belt, tool pouch or something like that?  Bucket with organizer pockets for holding tools?

The wee s*d made his own tool pouch this year AND he used my sewing machine to do it! The nerve!  Cheesy  Cheesy thankyou though, a good suggestion, as he obviously like it  Cheesy Cheesy

What about some sort of toy for the dog and him to play with together? Squeakers are pretty cheap online, but they have them for a bit more at pet shops too so you can refill certain toys with fresh squeakers. If you make a few toys, one popular tug toy is just strips of fleece braided tightly. I always save my selvages to make them for my own dogs. Much cheaper than the up to $20 I've seen them for in the shops!

I've also found several of my guy pals like practical stuff. If you can embroider or applique his dog or his favorite tools onto a hot pad or something like that I'm sure he'd love it. I've done that for my guy pal Smiley Even guys who don't cook appreciate hot pads. The TV dinners have got to get out of the microwave somehow!
